Grandpa Grant and me.

My Great Grandpa- Heber J Grant- as an Apostle for the Church of Jesus Christ of  Latter Day Saints,  dedicated the country of Japan for missionary work.  Here I am 106 years later teaching a cookie making class as part of  English conversation class.  Not many miles for  where the dedication took place. I love Japan and I love the people.

Chris Hall

What a surprise to see Chris Hall from our Spokane ward show up in church. He is in the Navy Reserve and does duty here occasionally. So good to see him.

Gary

We knew Gary from Japanese class. We were so sorry he was  casualty on the Fitz

Fitzgerald community service

The USS Fitzgerald was hit by a cargo ship June 17th, 2017. Seven sailors lost their lives. After the ship limped back to port,  we became part of an effort to provide uniforms,  everyday clothes and supplies to the survivors. We worked several days on this massive undertaking. This pictures was taken of Doug and published in several news feeds. We were so glad to  help.
